It's rare for someone to make a comeback the way Gibson did - especially after the things he said about the tribe. But then again - he's a gifted director, writer and thinker. Not like his only talent was "acting" - he was too wealthy at the time and could fund his own projects. They tried to fuck him over, though - and succeeded for many years.
