Are Children Really Safe at School?

I never understood how much bullying and violence actually happens at school.

My son has come to me before and told me other kids will bully him or say mean things to him, but I didn't truly understand how bad it was.

After parents watched the video of my son being assaulted and strangled,
they messaged me to tell me horror stories of their own children suffering at school and how the school has done nothing to stop it. (assumedly Cricketeers doing the bullying)

Children are afraid to come forward, they suffer in silence, and even commit suicide because they feel like there is no other way to escape the pain and suffering they endure at school.

The children who are brave enough to come forward are not being taken seriously enough by the school.
The victims continue to suffer because the consequences for breaking rules aren't severe enough to deter perpetrators from breaking them.

On January 23, 2023, my son was assaulted and strangled on the school bus by another student.

I learned about the altercation when my son came home crying with red marks on his neck.

The girl who harmed my son this day was also the same one who stole a toy from him months prior to which the school said they would “take care of it."

I was sent this video from another student which made me realize how severe and traumatic this event was for my son and also learned that the video was actually the SECOND time she attacked and strangled him.

What is the solution to bullying?

I've always been of the opinion that it's best to meet them head on but I get criticised for saying this. I think if they're not forcefully stopped, they just keep finding new vicitims.

Are we supposed to feel sorry for bullies because we don't understand their own traumas? Are we supposed to reason with them?

This is a serious question. I was bullied at school when I was young, really badly. It stopped only when I began to fight back. When I made one kid cry, nobody ever bothered me again. In my experience, they only understand one way of behaving so doing anything different is a waste of time.

I think there was an increase of 2 million homeschooled children in 2022.

There's a reason why home prices in the good school districts are high.

Exactly.

Teach your kid to fight and tell him/her it's ok to defend yourself.

As far as bullying on social media that is trickier to handle but you need to stay on top of it.

There are hundreds (maybe thousands) of vids like this where parents/grandparents are tired of perverted lefties grooming kids...

Good choice, brother. I have friends with kids whom are doing the same.

You know it's bad when you hear that schools have tried to block parents access to the curriculum content in some subjects. These people are teaching your fucking kids. IMO: parents should have audio access to the classrooms their kids are in if they require.

I can tell you from personal experience working at a high school, school districts do the minimum to keep kids safe if they do at all. From not being able to search a students locker or backpacks for drugs or vape unless it’s actually seen and not suspected, to fights or bullying when only results in suspension for 3 days on the first offense, 5 days on the second and possible expulsion on the third which resulted in placing the kid in another school not to mention making the school soft targets for gangs or an active shooter situation. Even employees (teachers, admin, staff) aren’t allowed to protect themselves even with pepper spray. Run, hide or fight won’t cut it
