True. In hindsight, Trump should have waited till after the convention for the debate. In the end, I don't think it will matter because Kamala Harris really is that bad, but it would have been an easier road with Biden.
And this is a catch 22 for her. If she doesn't do a real interview, she shows just how weak she is. If she does do a real interview, she will have trouble answer unscripted questions.
Baier needs to be firm on his questions, but not a bully, as that will work against them.
I would love for her to field this question: When you said Donalds Trump called folks "very fine people" at the Charlottesville incident, was he referring to people on the side of the statue debate, or nazis and white supremacists?
If she says the former, you can counter with "that's not what you said at the debate, nor what Joe Biden said at the debate"
If she says the latter, read the original quote and ask how she could possibly not be aware.
Then follow it up with "Why the need to constantly distort the truth to the American public".
Then "you've spoken about the border bill being rejected by the right for political purposes. Does that bill also contain billions for ukraine, and does it normalize 1.8M illegal crossings per year? Why not just reinsate stay in mexico, which you overturned Day one?"
