totally unnecessary, I only do side laterals for direct delt work
Chest work does more than enough for delts, delts are designed to raise your arms and push down and away.
Imagine before we walked upright, would we ever have lfted out arms horizontal.
Look at Chimpanzees, do they ever lift things over theor head on a regular basis they pull and push things
I did plenty of heavy overhead pressing in my life but I completely agree

Ian actually did upright rows with it before passing it to Nasser to do his set of behind the neck press

Lol, I guess that would be the only way.

I can't say I've ever seen someone do upright rows with 365-lb.

When I saw that picture in 1999, I just thought Nasser was unbelievably strong. It's kind of sad to think how so many images/impressions we are exposed to in media are fake.

As if Nasser doesn't represent a look that is unsustainable as it is - even what we have seen of him is fake [being pumped in every shot, and using fake weights here].

On top of that, I recall Fortress saying Nasser wasn't strong at all - curling with 30-lb dumbbells.

:o

I don't know about 495-lb, but I could believe Greg Kovacs pressing 405-lb behind the neck on the Smith Machine. Well...not lately.

I definitely remember a Nasser training video where he was prepping for a show. Granted he was dieted down but he sure made 185lb bnp look like it was heavy. Dieted down or not for his size he looked weak

So bhank is onto something else now?  Did he get last place at his curling contest or something?
