America has whites, blacks, various Asians, Middle Easterners, non-white  Hispanics, and Jews. That pretty much covers it and I assume you know this and asked me for different reason other than lack of  such knowledge.

White people commit between 25-30% of all murders [a bit less if you remove other races - Asians, Arabs], at 65% of the population.

So Black's commit 52% of all murders at 13% of the population. 4x as many as their percentage of the population.

Whites commit under closer to 22% of all murders at close to 66% of the population, which is 1/3 as many murders using strictly population as a predictor.

So on a per-capita basis, Blacks commit 12x as many murders as Whites.

Even if the number is "only" 7-8-9x, it's still very high.
