While I do believe people should be there for their family, I expect US Cabinet members to be held to a higher standard.

This guy was given a position way over his head for backing out of Super Tuesday to help Biden, and also because this administration places more emphasis on race/sexual orientation/gender over qualifications, and it shows.

This guy walked into the worst situation possible and he could have “grabbed the bull by the horns” and dived in head first with a spin saying “this is a horrific situation to step into but we work hard to fix it and get back to normal” and he could have been a hero to his “group” or whatever his identity buzzwords are.

What it seems like he’s done is embraced the idea that nothing is his fault and he was dealt a bad hand. It is bizarre to watch it play out. It’s even crazier how some have defended him as he plays the victim card.

If you look at this objectively he  really had a golden opportunity to “play a hero”. He could have used the worst shipping crisis in history to get his name in the public as a “boots on the ground” guy and someone who was working overtime to solve these issues while still being a family man. He could have played out the difficulty of having a newborn in a same sex marriage and balancing that with his new position with issues no one has ever faced before……  Instead he’s taking a victory lap for being a married gay father and clinging to the it’s not my fault defense, and he’s partially correct BUT he has been on the job for 2 years so when should he be held accountable…..  again the complete lack of response to Ohio was DEAFENING and he waited to respond publicly until Trumps visit forced his hand.

 I couldn’t name a single secretary of transportation from our history and given our post pandemic world it is highly likely I would have been familiar with anyone that was appointed in this role, but I seriously don’t think they could have placed a worst person in this spot.

Pete seemed to be living off of his success of being voted mayor in “conservative” Midwest town of south bend. This guy is in so far over his head he thinks he is swimming while he’s drowning. He needs a PR team ASAP!

It’s funny to me that we have a separation of church and state while we pretend that those personal views wouldn’t shape our political ones. We are seeing it play out with this “church” of wokeness.
