Im in a genuine normal house now with  a man cave in the garage
I bought an SUV and am doing a camping setup inthe back to sleep in for golf and fishing trips of 2 or 3 days, I learned last year Im just not a tent guy. Theres going to be A PILE of golf/fishing trips this year

Right on. I've got designs on going heavy overland with a unimog and a dirt bike for zipping around. Won't happen this year but maybe someday.

Lots of guys favor rooftop tents for getaways if they don't want to fuck with towing a caravan. Its not like a ground tent since weight and size problems don't apply. You get some degree of luxury. They'd mess with center of gravity for offroad challenges but would give you more room to stretch out. You plus gear all in the back of an suv would be a tight fit.

Yeah fuck sleeping on those garbage 2" camping air-cell pads. I'm still on a building site a few nights a week and my full thickness foam mattress plus pillow top is worth having to haul around job to job.

Im doing a 5 inch memory foam, I did the air cell in a tent last year, never again. Im not  a fan of those rooftop tents

Pretty handy for chicks. The wind up there really helps muffle the screams while you're driving. You're still gonna get decibels through 5" of foam unless you install a sound activated chloroform system.
