Meta Hoarding Diversity Hires So Other Companies Can't Have Them

Meta (Facebook) just announced a second round of layoffs of 10,000 people in addition to the first round of 11,000 people.

It's interesting because some of the laid off workers say they were hired with nothing to do, but Meta was hoarding them like Pokemon cards.

All these affirmative action quotas are causing companies to do some strange things.

What's your opinion of the hoarding of affirmative action hires that's been occurring in the tech industry?  Should they be replaced with Indian H1B affirmative action hires that would work for less?  What's Mark Zuckerberg's next move?
