When he stopped competing his body seemed like it was failing to dial things in the last week before a contest. Kinda like how Ramy can't seem to do it any more. That's the reason why I think we never saw him compete again despite him looking close to ready on multiple occasions.

He might be doing the same with this masters show now. Try to dial it in and compete, but if his body doesn't respond in the last week like he wants, withdraw.
