I remember way back in the late 90's. You had basically 3 or 4 'types' of radio stations to choose from: classic rock, grunge/alternative, pop rock, R&B/hip hop.

Then at the exclusion of both pop rock and grunge/alternative Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera began getting more and more airplay.. by 2005 rock and roll was all but dead.

I just remembered thinking at the time: who in the hell is clamoring for this shit? It was obvious to me then that there was a power shift in music. I honestly thought the only person that can seriously enjoy this music is a pedophile.

I think it's crazy how she's getting a lot more fame as being in a 'prison' than she would be if she was still releasing has-been type music. Some truth in that. It's a manufactured industry. Simple 'catchy' music for kids to get suckered into. Then they watch the video/clothes these 'artists' are made to wear and voila: they begin to mimic that behaviour.

Always look at it like this: they're too thick to appreciate the money.

Money affords you time to invest in education + culture such as art. Can you picture someone like her picking up a book or learning a new language? There's plenty of rich people out there that made money from being tradies but their passion for learning made them venture out into academics.

I know one bloke that was a scumbag thug with his brother: they both got arrested for money laundering and running a security/bouncer company that was corrupt as fuck. Long story short: he managed to get his sentence exonerated somehow proving it wasn't directly himself doing the nonsense - went into Nebosh health and safety diploma - became a fully fledged director at some large H+S firm. Now he's a professor teaching whatever the fuck that industry requires at some University. Unbelievable to have met him when he was stabbing people up in his 20's/30's.

People like Britney/Madonna and the like: what kind of arc do they really have? Usta-b-sumbody followed by social media attention whoring.
