Frank Zane is a gentleman and a (genuine) scholar.  His IQ is without doubt greater than the sum of all other Mr. Olympia winners and contestants combined. The image of Zane's signature vacuum pose was engraved in gold into the disc that rides with the Voyager Spacecraft and was launched (not so coincidentally) in 1977 the year of Zane's first Olympia triumph.  The folks at NASA know physical perfection when they see it and be assured that since '77, the Galaxy knows as well.
Only if you count out Mentzer, the genius of geniuses.  ;D

Zane is intelligent and obtained a Masters Degree. He has a bachelor of science degree, and a second bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree in experimental psychology.

However, I would estimate that Arnold is more intelligent. Look at what he achieved in California by a guy who couldn't speak English well when he arrived in October 1968. We all underestimated his intelligence. Slowly people had to upgrade their estimate.

Mike Mentzer was probably more intelligent as well. He is one of the few bodybuilders who could write in a philosophical way.

Frank boasted about being the highest educated champion bodybuilder but he forgot about Dr Richard Baldwin PhD. Professor Emeritus of History, Philosophy, and Religion at Gulf Coast State College. Richard won plenty of top contests.

Careful judging people's intelligence by degrees especially in the liberal arts. Baldwin having a PhD in religion isn't the same as having a PhD in Chemistry.  Funny thing about Baldwin and his religious degree that he uses to be a professor at a college teaching the subject matter. He's a radical atheist that doesn't tolerate believers. Didn't his preacher father pay for that education if I got the story correct?

I would argue plenty of dumb people have degrees in the liberal arts. Mentzer only had 3 years of college but told everyone who would listen he was on the path to being a medical doctor of psychiatry.

Arnold was driven.  Speaks three languages I believe and what he has achieved is amazing by any standards. He is arguably the best bodybuilder of all time.  He was the number one movie star for a couple of years. He also has governor of California to his resume.

I dont think so.. Intelligence and being ruthless and driven are 2 different things.

Baldwins a head case. He used to melt down bad when anyone said he used juice back on IronAge.

Being educated and being intelligent are two completely different things.

People who are highly educated tend to think it equals intelligence, but it doesn't. Having a degree just means you can read, comprehend and regurgitate basic information. Which 90% of what you learn is forgotten in 5 years.

Some of the dumbest people i know have Master's degrees or higher.

I dated a girl with a PhD in Sociology. She could barely drive a car or replace batteries in a TV remote.

He claims he's a natural? He actually typed that on IronAge with a straight face?

Terry Strand would ask him if he used and Baldwin would have a meltdown.
