When I used to sell on Ebay,and some of my items that weren`t selling fast enough for them,they`d send me a message telling me to drop the price by a certain amount so I could make a quick sale.

Fuck you,I bought those items with my own money and my aim was to sell them at a fair price while still making a profit.............greed y bastards!!

I opened a store once....it did jackshit to increase my sales,but it cost me extra money.....I soon ditched the store bullshit.

Just had it out with Ebay this week. Been selling the same product for 5 years with no problems and now all of a sudden I get all kinds of problems. The fees just keep climbing continuously. I am done with them as well.

I figured out long ago to use eBay as merely a platform to advertise, then make the sale off-site.

You have to get creative when messaging buyers back and forth otherwise you won’t get past eBay filters, though.

I sold on eBay for about 10 years and then the fees just kept going up and I said fuck them years ago. It’s absurd the money these companies have to take considering they are taking it from millions of people daily.

I used to use Craigslist a lot but Facebook marketplace has been where all the activity has been at, in my area at least.  Buying and selling.  No fees either.

The advantage of eBay is that they offer more protections for the buyer, returns/refunds and financing.  I guess that’s how they justify their fees, although 15% is quite steep.  Too bad!

This is a great point, a solid 2/3 offers are morons offering me ridiculous low ball offers.  I put stuff up for 10-20% over my minimum, so when some clown offers $50 for something listed for $100 it’s all I can do to keep from telling them to go fuck their own face.
