How can bbing contests not be subjective or “fixed?” It’s partially a popularity contest, Jay had all the stars aligned by the powers schmoes to win.
This isn’t a “sport” where the winner is decided on home runs, scoring td’s, or putting up baskets, it’s judged by schmoes and partially fixed by “paying your dues”
And you actually think Jay is better than Lee haney who actually has 8 titles 😂🤣🤣
there have been countless pic comparisons on youtube that show the judges got the winner right in probably 95% of contests, i used to think just like you
there is no fixing or paying dues, at least not to win the olympia you can argue that exists as far as the overall placings go
maybe victor martinez got screwed because he was a convicted felon in 2007
jay was too big and complete for most guys to beat him, doesn't matter how blocky he was or lacking aesthetics, the freakiest guy wins over the pretty guy the champ has never been the prettiest guy on stage it was the biggest freak
yes jay was a better bodybuilder than haney, both at their best jay would crush him and jay would have at least 9 titles if ronnie never existed and his competition was little guys like labrada and gaspari
maybe haney would've been better if he used the same drugs but we can only judge by what we saw
