Blood transfusion

So something happened today at the hospital which I thought I would share. I went in for a general surgery to get skin cancer removed from my scalp. It’s my second surgery for the same lesion, as they didn’t get it all apparently. Now I have worn wide brim hats and sunscreen and kept my face/head and neck out of the sun. My only skin cancer and surgeon said it’s just bad luck.
Anyway here is what happened. I was having my routine chat with the nurse and she was checking my details name birth date etc. She then asked me if I would consider having a blood transfusion. I looked at her puzzled and said why is she asking as I wasn’t asked this question last time (3 months ago). She said we just want to know. I told her “absolutely not”. And she looked shocked and asked me why. I said “ I don’t want vaccinated blood”. She kind of jolted. What are you thoughts??? Why would they be asking people this? I think something is fishy.

Big Mo… you know when you said that Spocky was with me and she was patchy. My first reaction was that I didn’t have a cat called spocky. But then it hit me… I called her specky. I haven’t posted this anywhere online. Yes she got that name because she was patchy and speckled.
I also had some surgeon at the hospital tell me to leave the cancer in me and do the wait and watch. My gut feeling told me this was a bad idea. My doctor told me to get it out as it could spread across. And the surgeon who did the first surgery booked me to come back so that they could reschedule me to take the rest. When you posted up about that follow up, it was just after the second surgeon had told me to leave it in and see if my own immune system got rid of it. You are the real thing.

May Allah's blessings be with you too, Brother Flexacon. And with all of the board. In truth, Ramadan isn't that hard. I stay up all night eating instead and then just don't move much at all during the day. It is my pleasure to be here on Getbig and offer any help where I can. That said, I am taking a break from readings for a while as it weakened me a lot last time. Unless I have anyone urgently trying to get through -- then I'll always do my best to share the message.

It’s a “just in case” thing in the unlikely event that there’s a serious complication and they need to emergently transfuse.  Kind of like how every female age 8-80 gets a pregnancy test before an xray, excessive, yes but a small cost compared to the possible downside of not asking.

Good luck on getting “unvaccinated blood” should you ever need a transfusion

It’s a “just in case” thing in the unlikely event that there’s a serious complication and they need to emergently transfuse.  Kind of like how every female age 8-80 gets a pregnancy test before an xray, excessive, yes but a small cost compared to the possible downside of not asking.

But it wasn’t a routine question 3 months ago. So why now?? I think something is brewing here. And Krank I knew we would be on the same page about the clot shot. I know you well enough to know you would never put that poison into your body. You sweat it out when you have a flu.

I give blood every three months, I went after the jabs had been rolled out and she asked if I was vaccinated.
I said no, she replied "Oh good"

Apparently unvaccinated blood is rare now and can be used for people with allergies

A nurses job to relay from the doctor any recommended medical options available.   No reason to be mad at someone for doing their job and asking although I'm puzzled as to your issues with blood transfusion

I have a hight red blood cell count, I have always had it
I always feel much better after giving blood, its like I have a clear head..
