They did but most natives died from disease once you got ahold of them which made them unpopular at auctions. There was much more money in blacks even with transportation costs.

How about using Chinese for the Cottonpicking? They used them for the Railroad.

These days there's probably good money in non-lethal area denial measures. Given the regularity of riots I can't believe LE hasn't come up with anything better than sending their guys out to confront (or not sending them). They surely have something more up their sleeve than the same old rubber bullets and cs gas.

Good question. Idk why they didn't use the chins. I'd speculate there was already a well established system in place for a couple hundred years before the railroads were getting built so there was no need to look elsewhere for human resources.

If we could travel back in time and show them the future of Chicago and other areas in the US, i'm sure they would have made some changes

I don't think "they" want to stop this behavior. Many groups, politicians want this to go on.
