That was before my time. I wasn't born yet. So I am not familiar with all the news or hype from back then around the case. Just from first glance, I would suspect that foul play was involved.
For 12 long years, I suspected foul play!
Only now, given that his car was found in 4th gear when it was pulled from the creek am I leaning towards accident.
It also made me realize: any time that both a person AND their car is found missing...bodies of water should be considered to possibly tell the tale.
But many things are often easier in hindsight - a person leaving on their own accord is also a possibility in such a scenario.
