Find meaning and contentment with yourself in this life, Matt. How we treat the people we love right now is far more important than the vacuous promises of any existence hereafter. Religion is for the weak, and I doubt you’ll find much comfort in philosophy too. Even dyed-in-the-wool idealists aren’t offering any sort of perceptible ‘you’ after death, as far as I can tell. I’m still of the opinion that consciousness is an emergent property of the brain. Once that matter is destroyed, you’re not going to be magically reassembled and tortured in another realm, or shoved into the body of a factory-farmed pig (though I wish that would happen).
The only way for you to truly leave humanity behind is to jump on an even bigger cycle. I want to see Anadrol, a hefty dose of injectable test, and a bunch of SARMs thrown in there too.
