Author Topic: BKFC 41 Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (Read 1730 times)

This is the first Bare Knuckle Fight I've watched.

I was going to buy it, but I just woke up an hour or so ago, and missed the earlier fights. If it's good, I'll buy the next one though.

I'm no fan of the women's fights. Some are pretty good...but some legitimately look like teenage boys fighting, in terms of strength/speed.

Too bad Luke Rockhold still needs to do this. That's a pity. To see a former UFC middleweight champion have to move on to a lesser organization is sad to me.

Luke's too pretty of a guy to be doing this shit. He's 38 years old, past his prime and should instead work on acquiring small modeling gigs for lower tier, men's clothing brands.

BKFC is a place where fighters go to die (i.e. get disfigured) for a few dollars. Mike Perry reportedly made $250,000 for beating Rockhold. After taxes, he will likely clear closer to $170,000 and once you subtract training camp & coaches plus manager fees, he will likely walk away with closer to $110,000. While not a bad payday for a fight, is it worth putting your short & long term health on the line? That's too little of a payday to put your brain health at risk.

Kwon is right that fighting is in Luke Rockhold's blood...but I still think Rockhold should hang up his gloves...just for his continued health.

What's the alternative? Fighting until he is 45.

ideally you would be able to slown time somehow where great times would last forever and speed up the shitty times
