Looks to be a (illegal?) Mexican fellow that killed a bunch of Honduran neighbors over a noise dispute (he was shooting his rifle after dark in a residential area). No spice to it, and the shooter isn't the right complexion and political leaning.

Killing an 8 year old is with an assault weapon is PERFECTLY LEGAL in Texas i believe.

He’s was probably just protecting himself.

Gun laws in Texas are pretty standard.

I've had guns my entire life and never shot anyone.

If you are ever in New Mexico let me know.

We can go to by friend's ranch and blow shit up.

I have "assault weapons" that can blow someone's head clean in half from 400 yards with a single shot.
