Master Olympia returns in 2023 after 11 year absence

The historic Master Olympia is returning to the contest schedule in 2023. This event gives the opportunity to the stars of the past, to shine on the world stage again.

The event was announced today on all of Olympia LLC’s social media pages. Taking place at the BT Arena, Cluj Napoca, Romania, August 25-27, 2023, this event will surely be a hit.

Rumors have already started to make its rounds with the possible return of Dexter Jackson, Jay Cutler and even Kai Greene.

The last winner of the Master Olympia was Dexter Jackson in 2012, making him the only athlete in the history of the sport to win the Mr. Olympia and the Master Olympia titles. Vince Taylor won a record five Master Olympia titles.

The previous versions of the event, only catered to Men’s Master Bodybuilding, but in 2023, the event will cater to 10 divisions.

Athletes will have to apply for a chance to get invited to the event.

MASTER OLYMPIA RETURNS! After an absence of 11 years, Masters Olympia returns to competitors and fans alike, with an upgrade: the 2023 edition will offer the chance to fight for the best master competitor title in the world in all 10 divisions of the IFBB Pro League!
Date: August 25-27, 2023

Location: BTArena, Cluj Napoca, Romania

ATHLETE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

Age Requirements
+40 for Wellness, Bikini, Fitness, Men’s Physique, Men’s Classic Physique,Women’s Physique, Figure.

+45 for Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s 212, Women’s Bodybuilding.

Participation based on individual application, please send your letter of intent to:
mastersolympia@mrolympia.com

Application letters need to include:

-athlete background such as age, country, titles

-competitive history, including the last show the athlete took part in

-social media accounts

Optional:

-Video Application (no longer than 1 minute)

-Pictures of the athletes’ actual shape

Application Deadline: April 10, 2023

List of Invitations will be published on April 24, 2023.

Pro bodybuilding gets less attention because it's ghey and awful.

anabolichalo thought bubble threads were running hot (eg. "i think i just took my 11th weekly test shot)

Still, there was a decent helping of non-bb gems, including:

* ""when is masturtabing too much?
*  "Do you love your granny enough to get a tattoo like this?"
* "Who do I contact if I think I have sovled a scientific question about universe?"
