Wiggs, I’ve seen it firsthand. Size don’t matter and skill matters less in the street. It just doesn’t transfer over. If you have some skill and are crazy that can beat more skill. Don’t care what anyone says. He who is willing to go the furthest and has been in fights will surprise a skilled fighter. I’m not saying the i see red or black rage will do much but if a guy has a fighter mentality and has nothing to lose he can do some damage. I did know a fat guy years ago who was 6’ 310 and did have black out rage and he fought all the time and didn’t lose much at all. He fought a few mixed martial arts guys and beat the bag out of them.

First off, the guy in the video is not only bigger and stronger but also more skilled than the 2 guys he knocked out. He's not terribly skilled but he knew his right hand would end the fight and he threw it repeatedly and used his left to keep the 'bouncets' at bay. Solid fight plan for the big guy. Those bouncers were completely intimidated after the head butt. And fought timid. My guess is they're used to manhandling runts and really don't fight much and big dude jas probably been in alot of fights and wasn't at all intimidated.

I knew a guy who fought ALL THE FUCKINGTIME. White dude who lived in the hood (Delray for Abe and Dave) anyway Delray was a fairlymixed area backthen mostly hispanic but alot of white and black too. This guy was pretty big but muscular,  not a slob at all. I neversaw him lose a fight. I never even heard of him losing a fight. I used to ask him how he got so good at it. He said the more he had to fight the better he got and as he got older, and bigger, he found that the most important thing is to land first. He said if someone is talking shit and its escalating,  don't waste your breath talking shit back n forth, just pick a spot right on the guys chin while he'stalking shit, then when it's time hit him first, right on that spot as best you can.

I said "like a sucker punch?" He just laughed his ass off and said "Whatever! Bitches shouldn'tbe talking shit. When they wake up they know where to find me.".

the more you do it the better you get as with anything and nothing wrong with hitting first in the street, gotta do it.

Always hit first and the 150lb boxer gets bumrushed  tackled and loses he doesn’t get to stand around jabbing the guy twice his size he gets tackled and it’s over. If you want to use your hands you have to have the hips to defend a takedown and at 150lbs boxer you don’t have them against a 260lb athletic opponent. A 150lb wrestler has a better chance against the bigger guy on the ground but not much in the feet. Unless the big guy is arrogant and thinks he can box the smaller boxer he wins easy.

Ask yourself if you think a 200 plus pound wrestler can put wrestle Mike Tyson can I beat him in a wrestling match because that’s what would actually happen there wouldn’t be any boxing it would be a pure wrestling match. I would even rise above waist level I would come directly with a low outside sweep single. There would never be a fight just a wrestling match I wouldn’t throw a single punch I wouldn’t stand up at all. Once you consider that you have ti rethink the outcome Tyson is not beating me in a wrestling match. No way now if I can’t make it a wrestling match and I stand there with my hands up trying to box I get destroyed but that’s not what I would do. And Tyson can’t stop a John smith style sweep single no way no how

I'm usually around 160 lb and was a good boxer. The last fight I got in was with a 6'9" professional rugby player who outweighed me by 100 lbs easily. He started the fight, split my nose open and tackled me into a wall. I split his eye open and then knocked him out with a lead hook. We shook hands after. The people there who witnessed it literally said 'no one will ever believe this happened'. Even writing it sounds like total horseshit, but weight doesn't mean as much outside of a professional fight. Willingness to not stop, combined with a bit of technique is more important.

No I believe this.  I am very close to starting a bouncing thread as I keep talking about the huge variety of people I worked with and their range of really useful skills.  I already said working with boxers was really reassuring if you needed 'finality' (ie switching drunks off) as opposed to 'room clearance' where my powerlifter, judo and aikido friends worked best

So we had a tiny chinese fella work with us for a while - maybe 160lbs - and if we needed him to switch people off, mainly because they were waving bottles, glasses (or pointy things  ;)) around, he carried a fucking personalised gum shield around and would pop it in, wink at us, and wade in!  He was awesome.  I saw him drop 4 guys one time - no BS - we just dragged their drunk asses out...

Also so people don’t think that I’m saying I can beat anyone, tough to me isn’t winning fights tough is willing to fight no matter the outcome. The toughest men are the ones who have taken many beatings as well as given. So while I say anyone can win on any given day I’m more saying I would fight anyone on any given day but the former is also true as anyone can be hit in the right spot and go down so I still say a bad ass street fighter will kill a trained fighter who fights in the ring on any given day outside the ring.

Just rambling here,don’t mind me.

I hung out with Peter a few times, he’s a nice cool guy. Everywhere we went we drank for free but he was a crazy paranoid Coke head. But knew lots of people and everyone loved him in Boston. When we hung out he called me the tornado as he was the hurricane. Good times with that crackhead bastard hahaha.

Delray is an American Horror Story.  Has to be the most polluted enclave in the country.  That being said, my cousin and his girlfriend joined some social club in Del Ray.  It's almost like a Knights of Columbus type thing where they pay a monthy membership and drink for free or very cheap.  My family's roots in southwest Detroit go back to the mid 1800's.  I was still going to St. Gabe's on Vernor highway in the early 2000's.

You should start one; it’s all good content. I genuinely can't even count how many fights I've been in when younger. I loved boxing and I grew up in working-class areas. Then later on in some forces towns, those places were practically warzones. You’d literally walk out of bars and have groups of young locals waiting.  I ended up in fights with gangs armed with weapons in Glasgow, a football hooligan crew in England (who were literal retards), gypsies in Wales, wild punch-ups abroad, etc.  I hate it when old friends still bring up stories from those days and I find talking about fighting in real life cringe-worthy, but some of the stories are so insane and funny they'd sound like something out of a Brian Cockerill fantasy novel.

Nowadays I'm a skinny vegetarian who dresses like a homo and spends most evenings cooking and reading.  When a few of the more recent women in my life have heard little bits of my past, they've literally laughed and said that I'm the last person on Earth they can imagine getting in a fight - which is how I want it to be. I really miss training and competing, though. I think about getting back in there again almost daily.
