I'm out of the work scene but have a friend who got in trouble for innocuously complimenting a woman at work.

Something like "Joan, you look good today."

The woman ran to HR and filed a complaint.  They brought him in and lectured him.

He said "f*ck it" and then quit.

Besides my wife and kids yes I avoid women. I always have really, I just don’t care for conversations with people who don’t know the real world and I believe most women have no clue. Most seemed to be very liberal as well and in that I have no interest. They are always easily offended so yeah fuck that noise.

I only tell one woman at work she looks nice because I know she appreciates it.

When I used to go out clubbing I would always wander around talking to women, I always showed them my wedding ring and pointed out my wife to them.
They always chat and are friendly once they know you are not a creep

because they're just people, they're just like us, you just have to treat them like a person.  but i also compliment my male coworkers when they get a new haircut or bust out a new pair of white sneakers. not so much with the work folks, but 90% of my platonic friends are women
