I agree totsally......never bought into all of that.My books range in age from around 1961-1985......all that crap you mention was designed to bring in big bucks and it did exactly that,but not from me.I also do not watch Marvel movies.....now of course I realize that characters must be developed over time to keep folks interested but I`m more of a purist and like the older stuff.....I can`t get behind a Black Elektro or Nick Fury,or a Miles Morales as Spidey etc. etc.Noting to do with race as Marvel put out the very first Black super hero but the movies just suck, and are so much "unalike" to the originnal stuff I just don`t care for it.There`s only one Hulk as far as I`m concerned.....the green one (who was originally gray in the first 4 issues of the defunct comic but later relaunched as being green).....but Red Blue, Striped,Polka Dot...........they can keep all that BS....I don`t tread that shit. LOL

I don't watch many Marvel movies either. Simply because it has gotten to the point that every hero is "tech". The last Spiderman had a suit that had everything but a built in drink dispenser. Black Panther had a high tech suit. That isn't what made these guys appeal to everyone in the past. They were just dudes in spandex and their powers came from themselves. Not a suit.

Yes. I am up there in age.Now a days, my biggest battle is with arthritis after so many years of wanting to keep up with the IFBB bros. 10-15 years ago I still thought I was a killer. Today, it's hard for me to even kill time.As opposed to many years ago, what I now do is go for bike rides and work out with light-moderate weights with high repetitions. I do nothing combat sports related and I am grateful that I haven't had to undergo any additional surgeries. I had a torn shoulder labrum a few years back and that was crippling to me.No tough guy here. I'd much rather people get along. Besides, so many people now carry weapons of some sort that it doesn't pay to be tough.The other day I went to Florida and I heard anyone can carry handguns now. You don't need a permit, license or even training. You just buy a handgun if you have the money and there you have it, instant "tough guy"."1"
