Almost 2 years now - its just awesome.  The people there are mostly people just like myself  - lift weights, shoots, guns, listen to metal, Jocko, Trump, drives a jeep or truck, etc.

I rode my inside recumbent bike twice yesterday and I rode my outside mountain bike once maybe 10 miles total or about an hour on a bike yesterday?

with any form of combat you need to kept it- its so easy to lose some skill

I do Muay Thai and Boxing for cardio weekly. It keeps my hand eye coordination in and I am used to peoe throwing shots. However I will openly admit SC the only chance I would have against you is to catch you cold with a big shot that you don't see. In reality you'd tie me up like a pretzel in a minute or so. In short your skills that you practice daily and your cardio again that oyu commit to daily when some people aren't even up for their unsolicited semi nude shots yet are a testimony to that. Skills particularly at BJJ are next level.

I have no shame in admitting that at all! Same with Krank and many others.

But not Hankins- his cardio is shite and his skills are negligible. He wouldn't last a minute. Then again he wouldn't turn up so its irrelevant.

I really enjoy reading your training as it shows what true combat sports take in terms odf discipline and time. And dare I say nice French toast and peach cobbler.

When I trained boxing in Poland we did some light sparring well light in his case coz if he threw full force he would knock me da fuck out😄

He was.a.heavyweight.and 6'1 and he smoked but his fitness level.was strong and when we did boxing conditioning training he told me I had pretty good condition better than any of the hooligans he trained but compared to the pro boxers he knew my condition was subpar, those guys had to be machines coz I got pretty fit training with him

Our boxing conditioning training was basically crossfit

Do you practice.that.kind of boxing conditioning or just work the bags and run?

We would run circles around mat to warm.up for the real training

He told me I had decent power and if I wanted to actually box in matches he would have trained me as a boxer/puncher

nautilus incline 3 x 10
panatta decline 5 x 10
panatta crossover (FST STYLE) 8x 8

dumbelll curl 4 x 10
machine preacher 3 x 12
hoist cable curl 8x 8

DJ re boxing- I am 51 now so boxing and thai are just a bit of fun to help condition an because I like hitting stuff.

One boxing I do a 5-4-3-2-1 fartlek run to get warm
then I do 3 x 3 minutes floor to ceiling, 3 x 3 minutes heavy bag (but moving around the bag nt just hitting it so concentrating on coming in and out of range) 3 x 3 minutes speedball. all with 1 minute in between.
I will then do skipping sprints ie skip 1 minute quick skip 15 seconds etc for a total of 10 circuits
Once this is done it will be 3 rounds of spadework then 3 round of sparring working on specifics

I do this on Wednesday mornings as I train rear chain in the evening

After that I tend to look for the oxygen! All done in about an hour an da half. my fitness has increased hugely since doing this. As you will know yourself if love boxed just keeping a guard up for 3 minutes moving round while someone is trying to take your head off is hard enough and take stamina off you. thats why crying Brian would be easy beat. he has no cardio or rather no cardio that relates to boxing or fighting. we can all see ourselves in a rocky montage wen hitting a bag that doest hit back, its a world of difference training with an ex pro. the gym I go to is the one where the smith brothers are at- the Solly. cracking lads. Stephen swifty' and Paul are tow of the nicest fellas you could hope to meet. My son lives in London and Stephen used his influence to get my lad who is 6 into Finchley ABA where AJ boxed. He is only 6 but asked e if he could box. I wasn't keen but if he wanted to I wanted to get him into a decent club. He loves it and they properly look after the kids. No bullies or bullying is allowed (sorry Brian). Incidentally my daughter is at Arsenal FC;s academy. Can I just state I have done nothing to get them there they have done it themselves I would hate to be a vicarious loser who lives through his kids because he achieved fuck all. Brian how is mongo's wrassling and lifting doing? haha

When I sparred it was double conditioning of sorts because I would tense up immensely as I expected each and every punch I threw to land and maybe 3 or 4 of them actually did and I also expected to never ever get hit, so if I threw a punch that didn't land which was basically all of them or got hit which was most of the time I was very very pissed off and angry that my every punch didn't land and pissed off that I actually got hit and that my friend is true narcissistic rage😄😄😄

He told me I need to relax and be loose so I asked if I should take a tranquilizer before our spars and he said no because it would slow down my reflexs and make me sloppy

nowhere near your madness mate but I am enjoying it!

I do an hour of Muay Thai 2 x weekly too. Thats very hard but a different type of hard.I find boxing heavy as hell cardio wise but less pain wise as I am used to fighting but Thai is just sheer pain. Low kicks fuckig hurt to hell. Until I'd taken them as a youngster I had no idea how hurtful they are. Thats what hakins doenst know. I've seen fighters throw up after a series of leg kicks. Its brutal. Your body shuts down! Then again I am comfy on my feet- I am ok not the ground due to judo but BJJ is a diff level. Jason Tan isa mate of mine he did a bit at UFC- his daughter is 10 I thin and is an international champ- she has to fight lads under 12s here to get any competition! Jason and his daughter are again tow of the nicest people you cold eet. Thats what hankenstien doenst understand real fighters are chilled out as they are comfy in their skills.Brian with his band man talk is a caricature of what he believes a fighter is because hes never been around them.

thanks mate- boxing is a real leveller. there is nowhere to hide in the ring we are all faced by our demons. PS anyone who says they aren't shitting bricks before a fight is a liar. its how you harness the fear and make it work for you that counts.
