Chest & Back:

Smith Inclines - 5 sets
DB Flyes - 4 sets
Hoist Seated Bench Press Machine - 3 sets

Underhand Grip Pulldowns - 4 sets
Two-Arm DB Rows - 4 sets
Seated Cable Rows - 4 sets

How do you like those Hoist machines?  Not a fan myself.

Most of them completely suck,but it`s all I have access to in this tiny town I live in..........only 2 gyms in town,both on college campuses.......if I go to the other gym,they make you get a Covid shot which I don`t want so I just do the best I can with what I have.

The key to making them more efficient is to do the reps very slow and controlled with a good stretch and a good squeeze.......but this is how most machines should be used anyway,but most people don`t do this.

In essence,they suck!  :D

I do like the seated cable curl one and the lat pull down one. My fav of the bunch is the seated cable curl one.

Hoist machines are odd. I'm not sure what the point is? It seems like there's a lot of excess movement for no purpose.  It seems like it's easier on the joints but I just can't get into using them. It seems like a bit of a gimmick.

Agreed and understood on limited availability/resources.  It's funny the first time I saw hoist equipment I got excited to try it - but even just looking at the handles I was instantly less thrilled.  Then the odd pivot movement was even less so.  I felt like when I saw Mike Christian using Keiser compressed air equipment in an old video and saw that a gym near me had them.  I thought this will be great, I've got to try them.  They ended up being mostly broken but the ones that worked felt spongy and lame

Is that the one where arms down by your side and each arm has its own stack and your upper arm is positioned against a small pad mimicking db curls? If so I forgot about that and that one is awesome.

is 4 wheels a side for 5-6 reps on the hammer decline press incredibly weak?

If you’re doing it…..yes.

You have no foundation built on heavy training and it shows.

I hear ya`...those compressed air machines sucked in a huge way.....15 minutes of fame and they were gone.

My work gym has a Hoist multi station.  Has weight stacks not that bullshit they have in commercial gyms nowadays.  The one here is probably well over 30 years old but it has some good features on it.  Leg extension, standing leg curl, pull down, seated row, preacher curl, leg press are all good.  The pec dec is a piece of shit though.

had a minor tear in the bicep years ago and couldnt bring myself to only train one arm until i healed... had it in my head the injured arm would never catch up lmao.
