Yes I think it would. I like to warm up gradually before a few heavy sets anything in the 3-6 rep range but thats just because I enjoy lifting heavy weight. For hypertrophy a higher rep range might be ideal. Then a back off set of 8-10 and perhaps another back off set for 12-15 but that can really fry the lower back after moving heavy weight. I find the CNS stimulation at the beginning of the workout makes me connect better with the following movements but some do it last also.

3 sets of deads 6 - 8
3 sets low row 10 - 12
2 sets wide pulldown 10 - 12
2 sets hammer row 6 - 8
