I separated a shoulder doing this exercise way back when.

I used to do declines to the neck per Vince Gironda........they do stress the pecs hard, but lighter weight and  reps of 12-15 should be used as they will fuck your shoulders up bigtime......12 reps is good for building most guys pecs anyway except they always want to max out every Monday.  :(

If you mimic the motion without weight you can see that they stretch the pecs nicely with elbows back......most guys load up a bar and bang it off their ribcage/diaphragm area which does jackshit for building pecs but a lot for building ones ego.

Krank, that's my thinking.

I was stupid - smith machine, two plates a side, just cranking it out.

Then, crunch.

Best part was, I was a year out of college, no $, so a chiropractor at the gym said he would help me.

Diagnosed me with a pec tear LOL.

I paid him $70 for what I think was a bottle of a calcium supplement and didn't train for about 5 months.

Strange shit because doing on the decline makes the total movement path even longer...

I'm doing very high reps on it 25-30

The big Jew dyke isrealtel says up to 30 reps works for hypertrophy

Any rep range works for muscle growth I don’t care what anyone says. Sets of 5,15,25,50,100 etc… all work if training hard. Stop reading so much. You know what to do. Go by feel and the muscle will grow.

Do you really need advice on rep ranges at this point?  People have been saying 10-20 for hypertrophy since wes lifted his first rock.

I don't think it matters much anyway, mostly genetic....just work hard.

but with that move decline bench to throat it's not too wise to do less than 10 reps to failure

my tris were crushed no str power so i will go to hits tris every 4 days

gonna see if i can work pecs every 2 days

i can work delts every 2 days they recover VERY QUICKLY

keys are training to failure and even beyond and making steadt progress ie. more weight lifted or more reps or both
