Are you familiar with Mike Israeltel reps in reserve?

Supposedly you get just as much growth stimulus training 1 or 2 reps shy of failure

I could never do that as it would make me feel like a little pussy 😄

Yesterdays test ride plan to go further today. I will say my appetite came back with a vengeance after riding. I was 220lbs before bed last night and 214lbs this am despite trying to keep it light.

6 sets of bench - 135 x 10, 225 x 10, 315 x 3 , 315 x 3, 275 x 5
3 sets of DB squats x 10 @ 130lbs
3 sets RDL w 70's x 10
3 sets of leg extension
3 sets of leg curl

1 hour circuit  - 2 minutes rest between sets

Hex Bar deads x 3 @455lbs drop set 315 x 5 
Incline DB bench w 70's x 12-15
Heavy Sled push and pull across gym and back
10-15 push ups 

Walk slowly on treadmill - 15-20 min to cool down 


Felt great!

What do you mean 1 hour circuit 2 minute rest between sets? How many sets of incline dumbells with 70lbs for 12-15 reps did you do?

People who think Cardio or exercise in any form is about calories burned during cardio or exercise are fucking morons it is about the changes it makes to your metabolism 24/7

6 flights of stairs everyday is not insignificant either it all adds up take the fucking stairs and skip the elevator I was the only guy in the office who used to do it

A half hour workout of any form weights or cardio is worth about 1k calories to me not 50 when it comes to lifting it is about the calories needed to repair as well I can get away with an extra 1k calories a day if I am exercising at all
