The entire point of the surgery is to avoid own tear number 4

Dr claims it will be stronger after the surgery my old tendon is still attached the muscle tore off the tendon the tendon did not tear are using new tendon to grab the fiber and pull it back across so should be double tendon when done. It should hold. If I don’t get it repaired whatever is still holding could go and I could wind up with a complete detachment which I didn’t want

Good for you Like I said it’s a good lift. It shows everything is working together and you don’t have any injuries. Honestly my lower back is jacked after every squat and deadlift session but whatever I still do them. 

You know I did get a trap bar and now it is inside. I will be using it a lot in the coming decades. However pulling a heavy deadlift is not my primary goal. I do plan to get more into deadlifts but not going to be able to do them for a while post surgery. 

Honestly going too heavy to the point your form looks like MattC is not advise able if you ask me I saw that shit and said fuck it he can have the deadlift record no desire to try and fold my back. 

Maybe a single at 80% for shuts and giggles but don’t think I ever want to try and max that lift sets of 5-10 for me is plenty

Hell even squatting I am doing  20 reps a set these days no need to take those movements super heavy too much can go wrong not needed for growth. Higher reps will work fine for squats and deadlifts

what an odd thing to say for a man with a 5 year max life expectancy..

Well I don’t have one right now. I would think  I will be referred to one after surgery but the commercial gym has a heated pool and machines and cables that I  don’t have that will be needed for recovery.

The heated pool will help a lot.

Machines and cables are NOT needed.  They help...but NOT needed.  You'll do more bodyweight and passive shit work before anything on a machine

You aren't confined by HMO parameters....so here's a novel approach....GO FIND ONE.  We are all aware you know everything but for those who don't, you can choose who you want to do PT with.

Your doctor is in fucking california...you aren't doing PT out there.  Go visit some rehab places where you live and see which PT aligns with your goals.  I interviewed four of them before my rotator.

Again, this is just for anyone who doesn't know everything in the world like you, Brian

Can we all just admit this has potential? Movers just threw it in yesterday but all that space is gym space. Dumbbell Racks fit great on far wall. Ceilings are high natural light from windows should be real nice. But also just going to use commercial gym for a bit as will need the pool and cable machines for Rehab anyway.

I post my daily routine here.  The lbs the sets and reps etc.  I don’t think he realizes how many sets I am doing in my circuits w heavy ass weight and still adding weekly.    It’s not for him since he hates hard work.  But it works.

He wants you to add bodyweight.....like go up to 238 feces impacted pounds for the 600 deadlift,because you doing it at 190 pounds would be much more impressive,and he would hate that.

If/when he gets his pec repaired I`d bet a dollar to a donut the ego maniac will try maxing out on benches when he heals up enough to try it........which simply put........is FUCKING STUPID for anyone with 3 former pec tears.

Exactly.    I feel great.  Move great.  No injuries.  Getting stronger at 49 yo at same bw.   Having fun and focused and love the work daily.   


I tried helping him but he is all about the gimmicky bs and short cuts.    I’m not about that life whatsoever. 

I’ll continue my journey on my own terms.   Bhanks has never gotten it that the process and journey and daily weekly yearly grind is what matters more than some base ass bs he is always seeking.

I got 315 for 6 reps on incline no spot at about 210lbs before I tore my pec the first time. I got 365lbs for 1 at that time. I then got 350 for a double 20 years later after I already tore it once and had 3 shoulder surgeries and a torn tricep. I also got 365 for a single again ant that time around 210lbs. I managed 320 for a single 2 months post hernia repair angain around 210lbs after tear 3. I am going to get it fixed before year 4. Once fixed I will get 365 for a single again. I don’t care about being skinny I want to be a fucking ogre I hope to weigh 400lbs. My goal is to break my all time max I can’t do that without a repair. Sometimes you have to take a step back to take 2 forward but 315 for 3 is great but nothing compares to what I have done at full strength I will get back there again

I did legs today I’m all of 180 pounds at 5 7ish,,

I hack, squatted up to four plates aside for reps
Six plates aside on the leg press for 12 on my last set

Extensions times four

Stiff legged a dead lifts up to 225 for 12

Single leg  leg curls x3

Calves seated x6


At 56 yrs old
