1 hour circuit

Cable crossovers -
Heavy Sled push across gym
Cable crunches

15 min - tri push downs, seated calf raises, etc

15 min - slow stairmaster. 

515 went up easy today - going for 560 next week at 189-190lb BW

Any upper body PT type of shit that they are allowing you to do? Or too early?

This Wens is 6 weeks. I have PT scheduled for Thursday. She told me at my initial PT she was going to let me out of sling at 6 weeks part time and only did passive movement with me. Supposedly this Thursday she is going to let me actively move it. The only "exercises" I am allowed to do now is a shoulder hang thing and a bicep curl with no weight.

Long story short I officially ditched the fucking sling yesterday. I am done with it I am out. The atrophy to the shoulder and arm is ridiculous there is no chest just a tendon where it used to be but structurally that is an improvement. When wearing a T shirt the one sleeve on the right goes to the elbow as no shoulder or arm in it. The one on the left comes halfway down as shoulder and arm fill it up. I am a real Hellboy now.

I am just typing with two hands now and using arm to pick up my food and plates. I guess this Thursday they will give me some exercises I can start doing. I have been deliberately holding myself back. The main thing is I am not lifting the arm to the side at all maybe 20 degrees tops. Waiting for them to tell me when I can do that. They don't even want me moving it yet but this shit is ridiculous. I spend most of my day sitting with it supported anyway its not just dead hanging.

The next few weeks they will start me with exercises once they give me a real exercise I can safely do without hurting myself it is on but I figure best to take it real slow for weeks 6-12. Week 12 is when you are supposed to be doing resistance type training. I think weeks 6-12 is going to be ROM stuff. But as soon as they say lift, I am going to lift like a man possessed. I am not cleared yet

At this point I feel I can start safely training other stuff without hurting it. But rehab should ramp up now that I am out of sling. Weeks 6-12 you are supposed to get your Full Rom back then week 12 resistance training

The Dr told me the first 12 weeks were critically important to baby it and not to lift

I have been a member of the local gym since I got here dumbass

I am in contact with 4 good friends from over 30 years ago on a regular basis. I am in regular contact with a lot more from 20 plus years ago.  I have plenty of friends. I just happen to be at an age where you don't hang out and party with your friends anymore. People grow up stop going out get married and have kids and move apart. That doesn't mean I don't have friends.

I was on oxycodone and benching through the pain. now there's zero scar tissue build up and I retained the muscle. I started off with an empty bar at the 4 week point. Again he said it was critical not to lift a fucking thing until 12 weeks no weight training. Just everyday activity out of a sling will prevent further atrophy from here. The idea is to make sure the tendon is set before putting any strain on it. They also reconstructed the damn pec they stitched soft tissue together that needs time to heal it needs some scar tissue. I don't care what I bench after 6 weeks I care what I bench after 12 months. At 12 months we can talk about who is disfigured.

I am so impressed with Dr Mora I am considering going back for additional work. The left shoulder needs bone spurs cleaned up and has a loose foreign body in the joint they cant identify without going in. Additionally it has had a lot of stability issues. Dr Mora though says he can reconnect and add back a long bicep tendon that I am missing in the shoulder. Says this could increase shoulder stability. I dont really want to go through another year recovery however it is tempting will see how the shoulder progresses.

I got the right pec fixed to go further however the left shoulder may still be holding me back if that is the case I may be forced to address it.

When they did the slap repair on the left the Dr relocated the long head of the bicep tendon connection said it was in the way and created more space may have been some rotator cuff issue whatever. He didn't tell me prior to shoulder surgery. It did not hold. I go back when healed up from shoulder surgery with detached bicep like wtf? He then tells me I don't need it and says he won't fix it end of discussion. End of story. Thats not really cool

Now 15 years later Dr Mora says he can add back a tendon no problem 2 minutes after I mention it. I have shoulder issues anyway may as well get it all done at once.
