Finally, a Legit reason to wear a Mask

I wore an N95 mask grinding up leaves in my yard. I used the black and decker leaf vacuum that puts the ground up leaves in a bag.  After doing this for about 90 minutes I took off the mask and my face was dirty under the mask. I was blowing out brown stuff into a tissue after too. While it probably helped some with the leave dust it will do nothing for covid or smoky air.

Do you not believe in pollution and the negative effects on the body??  You’re free to do as you please so I dunno what this has to do with “control” but anybody living in nyc or another affected area that’s not wearing a mask outside is reckless with their health

It 100% will protect you from inhaling fine particulate matter, that’s what the masks are designed to do.  Sounds like yours wasn’t fitting well.  I suggest the 3m Aura model, available at any big box home center

It 100% will protect you from inhaling fine particulate matter, that’s what the masks are designed to do.  Sounds like yours wasn’t fitting well.  I suggest the 3m Aura model, available at any big box home center

Not 100%, but it helps.

If he was breathing heavily outside during physical work for 90 minutes, there is no way it filtered out all the particles.

The only thing that is 100% is a fully strapped respirator like people use for painting or spraying chemicals.

They're controlled burns they're the primary way of fighting forest fires.

Prescribed burns are crucial to controlling forest fires.

Unfortunately, they get out of control quite often.

Like the fires recently in NM.

I've driven that area recently and it's crazy how many acres were destroyed.

The forest will recover over a few decades. It's not a big deal to have burns. The problem is humans have a short lifespan and don't realize in 100 years that forested area will be livelier than it was before the burn.
