It's not that MDMA is a big deal - it's precisely that it is not that big of a deal - that it is not meth.

Check out the movie "Running With the Devil" with Nicolas Cage - it's a movie about how toxic and contaminated drugs are these days. I'm not sure if that's done on purpose, or if China dumping Fentanyl into Mexico has just gotten it cut into almost every other drug.

This doesn’t get prescribed for anything but refractory narcolepsy.  There’s one pharmacy in the US that dispenses it and it gets overnighted once a month to the few thousand people that have it prescribed.

That’s my understanding from talking with someone I knew who has it prescribed for narcolepsy.  He had to trial a few other medications to get the script.
