The commercials for the show look pretty good. I’m sure that the writers are talented.

But they completely ruined their chances by being UNORIGINAL.

Why not just name it something else? Why so obvious. As said whites couldn’t take a black show or movie without a major uprising. I completely understand black kids want to see things like them so just do a different name and it can be the same and no one cares just stop redoing shit with blacks.

You should ask Fred Savage...he's the executive producer of the show.   He was of course also the star of the original Wonder Years show.   I think they should have done a Good Times reboot instead or All In The Family but oh well

It would be easy to remake Good Times...you would just update it with modern themes.   There won't be a belt whipping or smacking kids or the flagrant use of the n-word and h-word but it can be done.  The Jeffersons would be a lot harder...they would have to find someone capable of doing the Philidephia Slop like Sherman Helmsley
