Full range of motion for high reps..and add a lot of GH to your current stack..that’s really it

you have to be aware of where your hips are - engage those at start and you'll feel your quads working - keep the tension on them and they grow


too many bad assess do the ego things - load up squats , load up leg press , bust out reps slinging up weight - no feel on the muscles - just hope that someone will notice you and consider you not a failure at life as a man

work the muscle not your ego and you'll have nice legs

GB'er quote " I may not be much to look at but I got strong legs " - yet a pair of medium shorts eats your legs for lunch

HA HA  support your methodology....

This from the guy who does 40reps on leg extensions and its fine...

but 15 reps on a squat has him huffing and puffing worse than an asthmatic with COPD...because anything over 8 reps is "cardio"

I knew some professional male dancers (no homo) and some of them had huge quads. So 4 to 6 hours dance practice every day in a studio should do the trick.

Most of them actually hated having big quads though, but yeah it's genetics.

I'm actually thinking of getting a sissy squat bench for my home Gym.
Done properly these really blast the Quads.
Back squats with a heavy bar are not as productive as people think.
These days I'm going more for quality training not ego lifting

Obviously you've got to be careful when beginning but why crush your spine with massive loads with a barbell.
Superb results can be had from this variation.

I cycle a lot but have quite thick legs from nature. Not saying Olympia Quads or anything but from nature a good solid base.
Really going to concentrate on..

Sissy squats
Barbell hacks
Leg curls

I don’t squat, or do much heavy legs anymore because of back issues, but I do ride a bike and I believe it has helped me maintain some size and definition in the legs.

Heavy squats are great when you’re young, but the exercise just doesn’t age well.

You’re not building big legs when your back and knees are shot.

Been doing those ^^ while the lower back heals up, harder than they look.
Also got a new belt squat (finally got a real leg day on it tomorrow), no lower back compression with those...

I also built an attachment for my smith-machine, where I can do vertical leg-presses in it.

You’re not building big legs when your back and knees are shot.

Really I'm approaching 63 & deep full squat over 400Lbs in training

As far back & knees being shot that can be at any age .
