Started TRT
« on: June 26, 2023, 10:10:43 AM »
At 48 finally got the doctor to OK TRT.  Been using the 1.62 gel for a month now and feel very good.  Like a time machine...
Any supplement recommendations to enhance the therapy?

298 to start.  Havent had follow up work yet.  Scheduled for two months from now.  I eat a keto diet (with the occasional bourbon...man's gotta live).  I have my own chickens and take a multi-vitamin, D2 and D3 supplement right now.  I thought about the ZMA supplement...and this CoQ10 looks interesting.

Thanks.  I've been looking at the DHEA but I hear rumors it can enhance the Test or go the other direction and enhance estrogen levels.  Heard anything like that?

You are already on testosterone which is leaps and bounds more powerful than DHEA..and on a TRT dose broken up over the course of a week you will have no damn estrogen problems..you really think DHEA is going to push you over the edge on estrogen?

Seriously, this site today really believes trt and a full blown cycle are the same thing with the same side effects.

Name brand (Androgel) or generic? The generic I tried had an awful fragrance added.

Do transdermal gels still suck? Gotta go with injectable and split it in 2-3 doses a week IMO

Everyone goes on injections after a while. It's just a stepping stone to get over the psychological hang up over taking testosterone. Some may have phobia of needles too but from what I've seen it mostly goes away after the first injection. I've seen grown, "tough" men pale as a ghost sweating profusely before getting the first shot.

I've been taking DHEA with breakfast. So you're suggesting to take that in the evening?
