“Sinister” means that you think the things they are grading you on are, in fact, “sinister”. Well Ok and I agree with this guy’s point that these scores can impact advertising and stock value factors (like whether mutual and hedge funds send investment your way). But putting that aside, I think another important reason that he does not mention is recruiting talented employees which they need. A lot of the younger generation care about this stuff (for better or worse).
And he is full of shit to claim that Target and Anheuser Busch don’t care about the recent flare ups.
