I started to watch and almost gave up because he babbles on and doesn't get into the "Do This" until 1:16.

He's still young, and his advice is full of falsehoods, inaccuracies and misinformation.

Zinc:
Yes, zinc is important for normal testosterone, but taking more zinc than you need won't increase testosterone.  You just want to make sure you are getting enough and that you aren't zinc deficient.

Yes, you get zinc from lots of animal-based foods, but he said you can get zinc from some plant-based foods too.  That's false.

"The richest food sources of zinc include meat, fish, and seafood [3]. Oysters contain more zinc per serving than any other food, but beef contributes 20% of zinc intakes from food in the United States because it is commonly consumed [7]. Eggs and dairy products also contain zinc [3]. Beans, nuts, and whole grains contain zinc, but the bioavailability of zinc from these foods is lower than that from animal foods because these foods contain phytates. Phytates, the storage form of phosphorus in plants, bind some minerals such as zinc in the intestine and form an insoluble complex that inhibits zinc absorption [1-3,8]. Fruits and vegetables contain very little zinc."

Vitamin D:
Yes, we should get our vitamin D from fatty, animal-based foods.  It's a fat soluble vitamin, so it's stored in the fat of animals.  No, we should not get our vitamin D from the sun or from supplements.

Morning sun exposure with no sunscreen is very important and good for our health and for longevity because of nitric oxide production, but the morning sun won't help your body produce vitamin D.  The afternoon sun with no sunscreen will, but afternoon sun without sunscreen can cause skin cancer.

Vitamin D levels are normal in most individuals who are not obese.  Losing body fat improves vitamin D levels.  Obesity is a cause of Vitamin D deficiency.

"However, weight loss is currently the only actually proven treatment that leads to improvement in a number of disorders, including VD deficiency. Adiposity loss, especially the loss of visceral fat tissue, has been strongly associated with better health outcomes contributing to the normalization of insulin resistance, adverse lipid profiles, and arterial hypertension, which are all features of metabolic syndrome. Thus, targeting lifestyle improvements through the promotion of a healthy diet and exercise should be the first treatment option, as it will affect both the obesity-related dysmetabolic state and vitamin D deficiency, killing two birds with one stone. However, VD supplementation remains a treatment option for individuals with residual VD deficiency after weight loss."

If your vitamin D levels are already normal without supplementation, supplementing vitamin D increases the absorption of calcium and it can make your body store calcium in the wrong places, such as in your arteries, instead of in your bones.

In addition a diet that is very low carb, very high fat, very high in animal-based foods, very low in plant-based foods, very low fiber will keep your testosterone levels normal well into old age:

"Ketogenic state improves testosterone serum levels"
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36149528/

"For the hormonal system to function optimally, fat becomes an important macronutrient as it’s the backbone for steroid hormone production [81].

Cholesterol, a dietary fat component, is one of the building blocks for testosterone production [81]. Considering that high-fat diets (HFD) increase cholesterol levels, increases in dietary fat consumption have been suggested to potentially result in an increase in testosterone production [85].

It has been suggested that increases in testosterone concentrations resulting from a KD are related to the high dietary intake of cholesterol [88]."

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8538516/

"We conclude that reduction in dietary fat intake (and increase in fiber) results in 12% consistent lowering of circulating androgen levels without changing the clearance."
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15741266/

"We conclude from our study that diet modulation from a high-fat, low-fiber typical Western diet to a low-fat, high-fiber diet significantly reduced serum androgens and some urinary androgens with a decreasing trend in PRT."
https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/90/6/3550/2870596

"Low-fat diets appear to decrease testosterone levels in men, but further randomised controlled trials are needed to confirm this effect. Men with European ancestry may experience a greater decrease in testosterone, in response to a low-fat diet."
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0960076021000716

"Men adhering to low fat diets had lower serum testosterone levels even when controlling for comorbidities, age, body mass index and activity levels."
