The first time I heard of this was Trump mentioning it while he was Prez. I seriously thought he was joking around. I’d bet less than one percent of blacks had heard of this five years ago.

Why do we celebrate blacks? Where are the celebrations for whites and all other races? Did I miss something. Why should any race be celebrated, Society is too far gone with these black sympathizers.

Juneteenth was just a Texas thing.See when Lincoln freed the slaves we had a lot of chores needing done so we didn’t tell our slaves they were free for a couple of years.Then it happened on June 19 so that’s why that date. I am a little surprised they even celebrate it.Then somehow it goes national

With all due respect, when is Eskimo appreciation month? When is Asian appreciation month? And STOP with the banks being closed on Juneteenth! What if Dr. King needed to cash a check?! What is Rosa Parks needed to deposit a check?! Stop as well with banks and post offices being closed on Veteran’s Day! What if Chesty Puller was waiting on a check in the mail or needed to mail a package?!

Juneteenth was just a way for the Democrats to say they did something for the black community after BLM and George Floyd.  They didn’t *actually* want to defund the police or take any kind of meaningful action so they just made another federal holiday

I don’t really have an issue with it, even though it seems like something that was isolated to Texas mostly.

When i worked on government contracts we all got federal holidays off.

I didn't have an issue with it at that time. ;D

I was born and lived in Texas for 38 years, never even heard of Juneteenth until a few years ago.
