I was just down in Key West. Saw a group of 10 to 15 people standing on a street corner, all holding signs like they were picketing. As i walked closer I could see that they werr harassing other bypasser's. I thought to myself "oh no, not this bullshit while Im on vacation.  What's it going to be? Some trans bullshit? BLM? ANTI- Cop assholes?

I was pretty loaded so if it was any of that crap I was planning on sucker punching one if they pushed me too hard, especially if it was BLM protesters.

The couple walking in front of me and I could hear them fucking with the couple. There was an exchange of words. Some 'fuck yous' thrown around. The male half of the couple angrily says 'I believe in science!' And on of the protesters mocks him, repeating 'I believe in science ' but in a goofy voice.

Finally I'm upon them. The were flat earthers. I just laughed my ass off.

A good friend of mine is a flat earther.

When i first got into engineering i learned a lot about land surveying.

It's very easy to prove the earth is round with simple trigonometry and ground measurements.

These people just want attention.

Perhaps it's a result of people wanting to believe in something to portray they are smarter than everyone else?

I come back to my Twitter example in 2021 and what did the rounds in the crypto scene was an autism test. People were trying to purposefully skew an autistic answer, then post the results and claim they are crazy smart and the test proved it.
