I'd really like to see the balance sheets and income statements of these places.
They might take out home equity loans or raid their retirement plan to get the money to startup or maybe have partners like lawyers and doctors.
That gym looks to have cost $millions.
How about them having a setup to give people IVs? That's a bit nuts.
Are they going to have a nurse or phlebotomist on call?
Only charging $50/mo. for basic membership. All the extras cost of course.
There are high end gyms like Soul Crusher belongs to but they charge a lot per month.
My friend who opened his gym 20 years ago, did just that, partnered with a guy who is an MD and has money.
He's been in business ever since, and recently opened a 2nd place (bought a large fitness center with pools, racket courts, etc).
Now he's having a pickleball court put in, (another new building being built)...
He said on paper he's broke, but must just pay his bills monthly, and chug along...
Dave Draper said they made zero money during their days when they had 2 World Gyms. (He and Laree)...
Couldnt wait to get out and away from it...
