She was elected in 2023 replacing Kurt Schrader (D) who was my representative in the house for the past 14 years.

So far Chavez-DeRemer proposed $39 million in earmarks for fiscal year 2024, including:
•   $10 million to City of Bend, Oregon for “Hawthorne Avenue Pedestrian and Bicyclist Overcrossing”
•   $6 million to Bend Municipal Airport for “Bend Airport Federal Contract Control Tower (FCT) - New Construction.”

I think you missed my point, which is that she isn't my rep. Whether she is an idiot or not has nothing to do with me... or you. Neither of us live in Queens, NY. Therefore, we cannot vote AOC in or out of office, (unless you know a whole lot of folks who live in the district she represents). This leaves us almost no reason to discuss AOC's intelligence.

Just to be clear, my issue is folks posting doctored photos of other people which has nothing to do with anything except for trying to make these folks look bad. Politicians are not celebrities although a lot of people treat them as such. They are elected to their position. If you don't like them don’t vote for them instead vote for their opponent.

She is perhaps a little too polite as compared to many other politicians when asking questions during these hearings. She is young and IMO she has a somewhat childish voice which some might construe as her being immature and not commanding respect.

As she pointed out, seeking asylum is not a crime in and of itself. Although I agree with Homan about proper channels such as seeking asylum at points of entry as opposed to crossing the Rio Grande in hopes of sneaking into the States.
