It's called the "Chair Force" for a reason.  It is the most "comfortable" of the military branches.

If you are in any other branch of the service and you decide to move to the Marines, you must take and pass their bootcamp.  Marines on the other hand, if choose to leave the Corp and go to a different branch?  They do NOT have to take that branch's bootcamp.

Air Force enlisted had better housing than Naval Officers up to around O4, at least that is what I witnessed.

I've been to the Marine Museum outside of D.C.  Simply superb.

This is exactly what it is. Air Force has the highest IQ standards and the Marines have the lowest. The Navy and Army have the same IQ standards in between the Air Force and Marines.

I suffered some petty theft here and a guy told me to hang up a bunch of Marine Corps stuff because my accent, lol. Yeah... it'll work great up until I'm having to explain how it's not really stolen valor to some gung ho dude who justifiably takes exception.

I wouldn't like to tangle with a Marine. I considered Annapolis when I was young. I like to think I would have made a good one but who knows.

I was in the Marine Corps back in the Reagan Bush/Bush era late 80s early 90s. Marine corps training was not only the longest in duration of weeks. It also had the most required knowledge based course requirements of any other branch. I suppose now things are different and Marines need to learn about co habitating with transgender phaggots and whatnot
