I don't know about children but in many countries saunas and bathhouses are unisex. Everyone is completely naked. I'd imagine kids can follow their parents in some places. In my country there's been stories about a mother taking her 6 year old boy into the women's locker because he's too small to be in the men's by himself, and some of the women being somewhat uncomfortable.
