Dumbest fucking thing I think I’ve ever heard. Meanwhile blm and Antifa were running wild burning down the usa and stealing everything not nailed down but they are heroes.

The only fucking person related to January six that should have gotten a sentence of 22 or more is the asshole Michael Byrd who shot Ashli babbitt climbing thru the window in the chest cause he was so scared, fucking pussy.

Pretty ridiculous sentence. Hey maybe he should have went to work that day. Probably didn't have a job because he's a loser. No loss

If he wasnt guilty then why did he apologize in court for???   He knew what he did was wrong

Didn’t read that but if he did it’s probably because his attorney told him too. He wasn’t even there.

If that's the case then it would be fair to say he lacks the courage of his convictions, no?

He wasn’t there.

What I meant was that if he had courage in his convictions he would not listen to a lawyer advising him to apologize. I understand he wasn't there.

I would have to assume for leniency. I was in DC in 2020 2 days after it was destroyed by BLM and would be willing to bet no one, not even the ones caught got this kind of sentence. At this point they probably got released

I keep saying that this is right out of Stalins playbook

You think people who apologize in court are sincere? Hahaha people apologize hoping to get leniency and nothing more.  Come on Vince be real here.

Democrats have weaponized the complicit FBI, DOJ and AG against political opponents. What other countries in history have arrested their political opponents? The ones that come to mind is Nazi Germany, USSR, Cuba and China.  The US is going down a slippery slope toward tyranny.  An unarmed insurrection?  They all should have been tried for trespassing and vandalism if it applied then fined.  Instead they kept them in jail for years without a trial and some in solitary confinement.  The sentences are outrageous considering how lenite Democrats are on felons. The message is clear. Don't question how Biden got 81 million votes shattering the record making him the most popular President of all time.  If you do we will silence you.

BLM got mansions... If a Pubtard gets into office all those people will be pardoned, except the truly violent ones.
Pretty embarrassing stuff, even worse than the "Proud Losers" themselves are our libturd/Nazi/Commie/Pant-Shitting/Woke-Rapist "leaders"...  ::)
Should they be spanked?? Sure.... Heavy sentences?? Nah, DOJ is weaponized of course...

Dont follow any "team", "party" or "group" is probably best for everyone...
If a Pubtard gets in, they might play "tit for tat" and start going after the Woke-Lib protesters who are much more violent, again, what they do will probably come back on them and backfire.

Setting an example with these Jan 6th guys. You toe the line and follow democrat ways or you will be punished severely. Most Americans should wake up and realize the government and the alphabet agencies are not our friends and are not here to protect or help us.

He was convicted of seditious conspiracy.  He and the rest of his group were convicted of trying to overthrow the government.   We used to hang people for it.  They didn't participate in the trial whatsoever and practically boycotted it instead of at the very least defend their actions.

This has nothing to do with the Democrats.   They fucked up pretty badly

Doesn't matter if he was there.  He planned the whole thing for the Proud Boys to invade the capitol, he's the leader.  He would have been there if he didn't get arrested already.

The reality of jan 6th was that they weren't going to really accomplish anything.  Nobody actually believes they were attempting to (or possibly could) overthrow anything.

Yes, the most egregious of the offenders deserve punishment, especially those who caused injury or destruction of property.

But it will just contribute to more devisiveness when BLM people who burnded down an entire police station get 4 years by comparison.

How do you overthrow the government without weapons? Walking around the capital building?  It's trespassing and vandalism.  If any of them assaulted anyone they should have been charged with that too. Everyone that was in the Capital building if they can prove they didn't know the doors were supposed to be locked should have been arrested and charged. The excessive sentences and solitary confinement for years before trial is the stuff of Nazi Germany, USSR, China and Cuba.

Woke Libz want to defund police so they can have complete chaos on the streets while they watch from the guarded mansions...

Another political prisoner. Stalin would be proud. The jail should be taken down brick by brick

Liar.  And this conservative Republican doesn't buy into your false narrative.

---
Buck rejected the claim that anyone was jailed “pending charges,” as he outlined the number of detainees held at any one moment, noting there were 56 in the spring of 2021, 40 in the fall of 2021 and 20 in the spring and summer of 2023. He also noted that 85 percent of those held in custody at the time he wrote his letter were charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer, which he said was a felony. He said claims that defendants were held without bond for misdemeanors are also “pure fiction.”

Among the claims Buck refuted was that Jan. 6 defendants were being treated differently because of their political beliefs. Drawing on his experience as a prosecutor for 25 years, he noted that trial courts tend to carefully consider the merits of motions alleging violations of the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendments, since they try to avoid the case being overturned on appeal.

“It is irresponsible to allege without evidence, as your letter does, that Americans are being systematically denied their most basic Constitutional rights based on their political beliefs,” he said.

Pushing back on arguments alleging failure to provide due process, Buck wrote, “While many January 6 defendants have decried the process they face as unfair, it is the process every federally indicted criminal defendant in this country goes through. That is not to say that reforms to our criminal justice system are unnecessary, but for you to argue this specific set of defendants have been singled out and denied due process is misleading.”
