Just stay north of Santa Fe.

My family has a few cabins near Red River and Eagle Nest. In the middle of nowhere.

Anything south of Santa Fe gets really hot and that's where all the cholo's are.

The suburbs of ABQ aren't bad, my girl is in Rio Rancho.

A lot of wealthy folks have vacation homes outside of Santa Fe and Taos.

Beautiful country and cheap.

I own a bunch of land just south of Red River. Go up there at least once a month to decompress, hike, ride horses and ATV's. Have an off the grid two-bedroom house that probably 10 people on this planet know about.

I was thinking of Ruidoso.

One of the best places to live in NM.

If you can live a few miles outside of town and handle the tourists for the major holiday weekends, it's a wonderful place.

It can be a bit too touristy, like Red River.

On the off weekends it's an amazing place to unwind and relax.

Last time i was there we were eating lunch at a local burger place and a herd of elk walked by.
