There was a guy at my gym years ago who probably should have gone into powerlifting instead. It's hard to say if he looked worse - because he was impressive in clothes - but he did a competition once and it just all looked wrong. Small muscles on a big frame.
He was a naturally large guy, but he had these high compact pecs, high lats, high insertions on his biceps, no leg sweep, wide waist with big obliques...imagine a small Jim Quinn with worse attachments.
I think he was still impressive enough to people who had no idea but he was a strong dude and powerlifting probably would have been a better fit for his body type.
