Mike was a bad man but he kind proved to be a front runner.  When I think of baddest man, someone like Marvin Hagler comes to mind.  Guy never left his feet.  Never quit.  Mike, while granite chinned would quit trying to win and just take his beating like a man.  As far as heavyweights, my knowledge of history would rate Sonny Liston as the scariest heavyweight with young George being next.
