Headed to California.
« on: October 01, 2023, 06:51:00 AM »
Doing Palm Springs/Indio for four days for a music festival next weekend. Any of y’all familiar with the area? Looking for cool things to do during the day, good eats things like that. Headed to LA Monday for a night before flying out Tuesday so any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check out TKB deli. It’s a semi famous sandwich shop. It’s over priced but you should enjoy it.

Love that area. Wife and I had a vacation home there for years on golf course called Desert Princess. Lots of restaurants and good food. Other than breakfast, we stayed away from Palm Springs at night and rather went to Rancho Mirage, much more family friendly and normal

I was only a matter of time before I went back to my true self. Truth is, I’m just a pig with no self control when it comes to food/snacks. It’s not sustainable the way I do it, because checking calories and going without is not a lifestyle change I’m willing/able to make. I’m like a crack head when it comes to food.

That said, Coach, where these breakfast places at?

Your wife must be loaded. Just some of your comments about the taxes you pay and this shows you have some heavy duty income.

Why would you assume it’s from my wife and not actually working? lol

My taxes are one third of yours and I make around 100K year in retirement. I just assume your wife makes over 300K. You make a lot of money training people?

 Classic getbig response!

Subtle reference to  Making over 100k in retirement, while bragging about how much less your taxes are.

OT1 where do you live? Coach literally lives on the beach in Huntington Beach. $28k in property taxes is probably reasonable when you consider the actual value of his property.

I brag about having lower taxes? They are sky high at near 9K.  You have to agree 28K is through the roof.  I live in NJ. Could you afford 28K a year just for taxes? Add that to a mortgage and you have to have serious coin in income. What was subtle about about me saying how much I make? I said it directly.   I think it's really low for the area I live in. The young people on my block probably make double plus that. My only statement is that he's very well off. I drive a ten year old car. No, I'm not bragging. Far from that.

Coach,
Are you a trust fund baby like our Bhanky?
Do you have a pool table, a swimming pool, race cars, a boat with a bad engine. and a monster truck in the repair shop?
Did you ski the Alps as a child while your mother fed you only hot dogs?

Got it!

17% of working men, in the US, make 100k + a year. Of course a Getbigger would make that in retirement. By this standard you’re also very wealthy.

28k seems insane to me but it relative to location and income. Coach has stated he made $200k a year roofing and today he trains professional athletes so I’m sure he looks at his income from the perspective of the people he associates with.
