Iran is the next big one, I fear. The issue might be if Russia backs up Iran - it's gonna be interesting. Maybe the Americans would be banking on that so Russia has to fight Ukraine + help Iran. It'll give them an excuse to deploy to help Zelensky as well as wipe out Iran.

You're absolutely right about China. i never considered Pakistan into the equation. Haven't they always been 'friendly' with the West - at least by appearances sake? Ever since the Pakistan/India problems in the 70's where Russia had to step in to guard India because USA was with Pakistan? I've always assumed that Pakistan gets a lot of underground support from the West that they don't like to advertise.

You're confused. A 2 million-strong Pakistani military group will be a prime target for a few strategic nukes. The days of invading nuclear powers with an army is over. The nations being invaded will resort to nuking the aggressors.
