Do you guys think homosexuality is a mental disorder? It was degraded from a paraphilia to a normal state many decades ago by a panel of psychs and they won by split decision. Nothing new had come out scientifically, it was just a political decision.

But now that it's all so entrenched even the toughest consevatives apporove of a lot of degenerate shit. There is a homo in most extended families but they are happy and accepted mostly.

Homos are a bit sickening, good for funny jokes and stuff, but that's it, that's how most straights think, we don't want no hate. And then you wonder how trainnes were and are normalized too.

None of this is exclusively a rep or dem problem either.

 

I don't think its a mental disorder. However I remember seeing a documentary in which they identified some differences in the brain. So I believe it is a variation of the brain development. I also remember when I was young I had a female dog who wouldn't get along with male dogs, but humped a female dog and asserted dominance over that female.

I think homosexuality is a natural occurrence that even animals exhibit. It is however a variation of development. My thing is why do people care about it if they are not gay. How do homosexuals having gay sex affect a straight person? How does a straight person's sexual adventures affect you? Like neither has any more effect so what is the issue. In a straight numbers game most people should hope there are more homosexuals that means more females for you.

Also all these right-wing leaders are trying to block homosexuals from living normally citing they think this will make people gay. I grew up in a conservative household but I was exposed to left wing education which didn't hide that homosexuals exist, and tried to foster the idea that they are human beings too who should be allowed to exist. I had plenty of homosexual friends and I have never been gay or had any gay thoughts. You can't change a straight person into a homosexual, and vice versa.

Not sure if anyone in the forum said it, but I support your way of life as I do not see it affects any of us.

Both countries are in a race to the bottom with these loony policies.

I would say homosexuality is maladaptive.

I do think it's pretty genetic. I have a friend whose FACE looks gay. And in 2002 in the Army at CFB Shilo, I met a lesbian who had a face nearly as masculine as mine, with much thicker arm hair.

Explain that?

Seems to me, she has some masculine DNA [more than the average female]. And she was in the Army to begin with. That to me seems very masculine.

So I do think gayness is genetic. Not to say that it isn't necessarily a mental disorder.

But then you have plenty of gay men like OneMoreRep who are perfectly stable and normal, who just happen to have a penchant for men.

Maybe one way to look at it is: does being homosexual, devoid of any social pressure, make the individual feel worse?

I feel like that's a factor. But I do think homosexuality is maladaptive - although the increase in gayness may be an evolutionary way to prevent population bottlenecks.

We should be allowed to talk about this, and not JUST on Getbig.
